    January

    Synex develops training programs for CRA (Clinical Research Associate) & MW (Medical Writer) intended to build a pool of healthcare professionals.

    February

    Synex serves as an exclusive advisor and helps create the Korea’s first DTx (Digital Therapeutics).

    July

    Synex announces the introduction of ‘the Internal Transfer’.
    Synex signs MOU with the Paraguayan Ministry of Commerce.

    October

    Synex signs MOU with the Regulatory Strategy Center for Combination Product.

  • 2022

    January

    Synex launches training programs for CRA to create a professional workforce capable of coping with the fast-paced healthcare industry.
    Synex signs MOU with Ajou University School of Medicine and Ajou University Hospital Innovative Medical Device Demonstration Support Center.

    February

    Synex achieves ISO13485:2016 certification.
    Synex signs MOU with Ajou University School of Medicine and Ajou University Hospital Innovative Medical Device Demonstration Support Center.

    March

    Synex achieves ISO13485:2016 certification → Synex is the first healthcare consulting company in Korea to have both “ISO 9001 Certification” and “ISO 13485 Certification”, demonstrating the credibility and expertise of Synex.
    Synex starts donating and helping ‘the abandoned dog rescue activities’. Synex pledges to support “The Tinker Bell Project”, the registered animal shelter for abandoned companion dogs.
    Smartie, a mascot that represents Synex is born.

    Synex celebrates the 20th anniversary.

    Synex establishes SHIRI (Synex Healthcare Innovation Research Institute).

    Synex is certified as ‘The Good Workplace 2022’ by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund.

    Synex becomes the official consulting agency of the KSP (Knowledge Sharing Program) by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
    Synex is certified as ‘The Best Workplace 2022’ by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund.

    December

    Synex becomes the official consulting agency of the KSP (Knowledge Sharing Program) by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

    February

    Synex starts consulting service on domestic development of pharmaceuticals.
    Synex starts consulting service on pharmaceutical pricing.

    June

    Synex launches the BIB weight loss balloon.

    Synex fully adopts hybrid and remote working.

    March

    Synex signs MOU with Gangnam Severance Hospital.

    June

    Synex is certified as ‘Female-friendly Company’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

    September

    Synex sets up the Department of Business Development and Commercialization.
    Synex brings Episil Oral Liquid to the Korean market.

    December

    Synex is certified as ‘Family-friendly Corporation’ by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

    January

    Synex becomes an official institution for KoNECT (Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trials) internship.

    April

    Synex is listed as the registered CRO (Contract Research Organization) for KoNECT.

    November

    Synex opens Braun Korea Customer Service Center for Thermometer and Blood Pressure Monitor.

    January

    Synex introduces sabbatical leave (sabbatical month). This special leave is granted to employees who complete a certain number of years.

    April

    Synex signs MOU with Korea University Guro Hospital Medical Device Clinical Trial Center.

    May

    Synex shifts to hybrid and remote working, two years before the COVID-19 pandemic.
    Synex signs MOU with Gacheon Medical Device Convergence Center.

    Synex signs MOU with Korea University Anam Hospital.

    June

    Synex moves headquarters to the Asia Tower in Yesoksam-dong.
    Synex announces the introduction of “the Smart Office System”, meaning the option to work from home.

    Synex sets up the Pharmacovigilance Team.

    Synex becomes the first Korean consulting company to participate in RAPS (Regulatory Affairs Professional Society) Convergence.

    Synex sets up the Quality Assurance Team (Later, it has become the Department of Quality Management).

    Synex sets up the Department of Market Research.

  • 2003

    November

    The company changes its legal name from Synex Consulting to Synex and introduces ICCS which stands for In-Country Caretaker Service.

  • 2002

    April

    On April 1st 2002, Young Kim founds Synex Consulting and begins consulting services on approval and reimbursement of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
